My primary goal in teaching piano is to get children
"hooked" on music using a variety of techniques and
repertoire.Secondly it is my desire to make them feel
loved and successful at making beautiful music.
It is important to me that they enjoy making music.
Throughout my teaching it has always been my goal
to instill a lifelong love of good music and to insure that
the children would make music a part of their lives
long after lessons ceased.
*Understanding the Needs of a Pianist
Pianist need support and encouragement not
only from their instructor but also from their family and friends.
A knowledge of music education can make life richer.
Through studying piano the student develops coordination,
memory, and concentration which all are skills they can use
throughout life. I encourage all students to develop a
positive attitude toward themselves and others.
*My Teaching Style
I use a mixture of the traditional method
of studying piano and some contemporary approaches
towards studying piano.
I understand that there are many different
ways people learn and with my previous experience
and education I believe that I can assess those
diverse needs and apply my technique towards
successful learning!
